Digital camera reviews of Bracketron UFM-100BL Nav-Mat GPS Friction Dash Pad

Digital camera Review: A great option for GPS dash mount
Summary: 5 Stars

Have had the Bracketron for a few weeks and so far it is working great. Doesn't slide around at all on the dash of my VW GLI and the Garmin C340 suction cup actually sticks to the Bracketron plastic disk much better than it ever did to the windshield. Definitely can recommend this product, just buy it from Amazon to save money....the same item is $40 at Target!?!?

Digital camera Review: A great purchase
Summary: 5 Stars

I purchased this for use with my Magellan 4000. Works great, no slipping or sliding on the dash. I used double sided tape to secure the holder in the mat. Prices for similar product in stores were much higher.

Digital camera Review: A handy accessory for GPS users
Summary: 5 Stars

This is a practical solution to a new problem. I have a Garmin StreetPilot 330; it's relatively large and heavy, and sometimes the suction mount on the windshield loses its grip, sending the device to the floor. The Bracktron dash mount is stable , easier to deal with, and less awkward than dealing with the windshield and the suction cup. Highly recommended.

Digital camera Review: A helpful accessory to our GPS
Summary: 3 Stars

To avoid sticking our TomTom to our windshield via suction cup, we purchased this friction dash pad, which seems to be essentially a very heavy bag filled with sand perhaps, that sits on your dashboard. The inner circle connects to your GPS via a twist and lock suction, and holds it secure.

It certainly seems strong enough for the job, although we had a bit of a hard time initially getting our GPS to secure properly - there seems to be no rhyme or reason to whether or not it will stick, although my husband has had more success than I have. It's possible that we'll eventually figure out our problem and feel silly for having the issue at all, but who knows?

My biggest problem with this unit is that it's a bit big, and I'm never sure where to put it when we get out of the car. I feel like leaving it on the dashboard is not much better than the "suction ring" on the windshield we were trying to avoid (to prevent break ins). We've tried leaving it on the floor, out of sight, but like most cars the floor of our car is a bit dirty and I worry that getting bits of sand attached to it might scratch our dashboard or else make it not stick as well, etc. However, we do like the pad a lot and continue to use it, we're just still deciding exactly how we want to store it. No big deal.

Digital camera Review: A little big, but works.
Summary: 4 Stars

This thing is a bit larger than I expected, but it works like its supposed to. Overall, I like it.
