Digital camera reviews of Bracketron UFM-100BL Nav-Mat GPS Friction Dash Pad

Digital camera Review: Absolutely brilliant
Summary: 5 Stars

This product does exactly what it's suppose to do. I paid about $20 including shipping. I use it with a Tomtom XLS gps unit, and it works brilliantly. No more sticking mounts to the windshield! And, you can pick it up and hide it so that thieves won't see the suction base.
Cheers.

Digital camera Review: Adequate...
Summary: 3 Stars

This product isn't super complicated, so what can you say? The mounting area allows a good seal and a rock solid mount for my GPS. The biggest drawback is it's not super heavy, or flexible (well it really can't be) and the "anti-skid" material on the underside gives it up when the dash isn't pristine. Who knew that dust was such an effective lubricant? Thus when the anti-skid material doesn't work, you've now got a decent sized object floating (potentially flying) around the interior of the car. More than once I've caught it mid-onramp, as it dove for the ashtray.

If I used it every day perhaps it would keep it's own footprint clean, and everything would be good. But as it is, when I want to use my GPS, I either need to a) clean the dash, b) clean the pad, c) both, or d) duck.

Digital camera Review: Affordable and easy
Summary: 4 Stars

When used with a standard windshield mount and Magellan 4150 with Traffic Kit, this thing is stable, easy to manage and doesn't slip on the dash of my Subaru Forester. When I tried the 'heavy duty' extended windshield mount instead, having the center of gravity too far from the center of the Nav-Mat did cause it to move some when accelerating from a stop. With the Nav-Mat I can use my GPS at-will rather than having to think ahead about putting the windshield mount on the window.

Digital camera Review: Amazing hide-away dash mount - it never moves!
Summary: 5 Stars

This is the perfect mount for the Magellan Maestro 4250. I wanted a mount that I could position just about anywhere in my car, and that could be easily stowed, leaving theives no sign of a GPS being in the car. I never leave anything valuable in my vehicle anyway, but I don't want anyone breaking into it just because there's some adhesive on the dash or suction marks on the windshield to indicate that there might be a GPS in the vehicle.

I really didn't expect this thing to stay put during hard curves and such, but it really does! I've been using it for 2 months now, and it has NEVER moved! The only time it moves is when I pick it up and stow it out of sight. I travel a lot, too, so it has already seen many miles and all kinds of road conditions.

It's inexpensive, stable, removes without a trace, and it's a perfect fit for the Magellan 4250.

Digital camera Review: Amazon's pictures are inaccurate!~!!!
Summary: 5 Stars

Be careful of Amazon's pictures of this item... one picture shows a horseshoe shaped unit... this one is round. so if you're using a TomTom 720 which has a very short suction cup, it may not work since the gps unit will lift itself off the mounting plate causing your precious gps to fall. And yes, I learned this the hard way... Longer gps mounts works fine like what comes with the mio 310x and the navigon 5100.
