Digital camera Review: Worked great, for a little while. Summary: 2 Stars
Worked out of the box with my Brother 2070N, unlike another reviewer. However, it is NOT going to give 2,500 pages. My "starter" toner was only rated for 1,300 pages, and I got 2,000+ out of it (Easy to keep track based on how many boxes of paper are left). So far I have had this one for about 350 pages and it is already fading and unable to print full pages of text. Doesn't matter what I do, because it truly is just very low. While it worked, it worked as well as the one that came with the printer. But what's the point in saving a little money now when it costs in the long run? Do the math - when I bought this it was over $20. Now it's $15. The full, branded toner that would actually last 3,000+ pages costs about $60 average. 3,000 pages / 350 pages is 8.57. So the brand name will get you 8.57 times more pages. Now 8.57 * $15 for cheap brand, to get enough toner for 3,000 pages = $128.57. So overall, while this worked great for a while, you're saving money buying the real thing. $128 could buy you TWO branded toner cartridges, getting over 6,000 pages (more if you use the right settings), for the same price as this "compatible *2,500* yield" cartridge would cost to only get 3,000 (plus you'd have to order 15 of them!).
Save yourself the trouble and money a month from now - buy the real thing - you get what you pay for.
Digital camera Review: Worked well but ran out of toner fast Summary: 2 Stars
Typically I can have a toner last 2 years or more, so I was surprised when my printer stated that I needed new toner after only 6 months of use (2 months not used at all).
Digital camera Review: Working great Summary: 5 Stars
I don't know how long it will last, but for 1/3 the price of the OEM toner I'll take it. It worked great out of the box.
Digital camera Review: Works fine with a Brother MFC-7820N Summary: 5 Stars
Many people have reservations buying refurbished toner cartridges. A bad toner cartridge may have killed my old Samsung printer, but how can you really tell if it was the toner or the printer? (The printer was 4 years old, and I got more than 12k pages for a $50 printer.) When you consider the cost of the toner vs. the cost of a printer and consider that you can find brand new laser printers for less than $60, it's worth the risk. Buying two or three refurbished toner cartridges will pay for the printer.
That being said, this particular toner cartridge works fine. We've had it for about two months, and the pages look crisp just like with the original Brother toner cartridge.
