Digital camera Review: Brother cheats you on ink cartridges, you can fix it with tape. Still worst printer ever

Paper jams. Noise. Paper jams again. "No ink message" for any reason. You can fix it by taking the cartridge out and putting some duct/electrical tape over the window on the cartridge, since it starts giving you this message when the cartridge is still half full. This way Brother takes more money out of your pocket. But before you get all these problems, look for a non-Brother printer.Digital camera Review: Brother for Son

The Brother HL-2140 printer is good.... UNTIL THERE IS A PAPER JAM! I recently suffered a power outage as the printer was in use, which resulted in a paper jam in the toner cartridge. The toner cartridge does not have a release so that sheets of paper can be easily removed. By the time I was able to remove the jammed sheet of paper, the toner cartridge no longer worked and the printer would not print. Paper jams are inevitable. Now, do I waste money on another overpriced toner cartridge, even though the present cartridge has plenty of toner, or do I purchase a new, user-friendly printer? Shame on Brothers for designing a toner cartridge made to fail so they can rip off people! Do not waste your money on the Brother HL-21240 printer!
