Digital camera Review: Basic, reliable printer

This is a small, effective printer. Although it has few additional features, it does well with printing, which is all I needed it to do.
I have used this printer for several weeks and have printed over 500 pages. The printer software has been warning me that the ink cartridge (the introductory one) will need to be replaced, but so far I have noticed no difference in the print quality.

I give this printer 1 star! Why? Because there is NO UBS cable coming with it.
And I didn't realize it until 15 minutes ago. I have exam next Monday! I bought it for the exam. I read the description again and I CANNOT find anywhere mentions it. Maybe it's a common sense that a laser printer never, ever coming with essential USB cable but I genuinely don't know this rule. I wish I could mark this printer 0 star! I wish I had read user comments before I bought it. What a mistake I've made!

This is by far the most inexpensive but capable laser printer I've ever used. I have worked in several businesses that use personal HP lasers, and they are nice, but they cost upwards of $600.
This printer literally does the same exact thing for a fraction of the price. In fact, I've had less problems with this so far than with the HP machines. Plug-n-play, no software installation necessary, and super easy network printer sharing setup via built-in Windows dialogues.
I'm in college now and I highly recommend this to anyone who wants laser quality and convenience and can afford a few extra bucks. It completely blows any cheap inkjet away. My roommate bought a cheap HP all-in-one and the included ink lasted about 3 days...not to mention multiple paper jams and the slowest print speed I've ever seen. This Brother hasn't even shown the slightest sign of being low on ink, and I've printed at least 100 pages so far on the sample cartridge. Now my roommate prints over the school network to my printer because his won't even power on.

I've had this printer about three months and print a dozen or so pages a week. The printer is still using its "test" cartridge where my old printer would have gone through $70 of toner in the same amount of time. I can only imagine how much a real toner cartridge holds! The printer is cool looking, rarely jams, is inexpensive, has great print quality, is quiet and fast, fast, FAST! This has to be one of the best purchases on the internet for a simple black and white laser printer. The build quality and packaging was great. Box was dented bad during delivery, but the item was so well packaged there was no sign of damage. The speed it decent, but perfect for the home, student or home office and maybe a light business. The printer warms up fairly fast and is ready to print in about 2 minutes from turn on (I leave mine off unless ready to print). The only weird thing about this printer, and maybe not the printer at all, but when I turn it on the lights in my room dim and flicker while it is printing. So maybe this thing sucks up a lot of juice.
Bottom line: Buy this printer if you are looking for a great deal and good printer for your home. You will not be unhappy with this purchase.
