What was delivered was apparently not an original TN460 Cartridge from Brother. It had been poorly re-packaged with the spindle broken, making it inoperable. It appears that this was a used cartridge re-filled with toner, which had spilled throughout the plastic bag. Not what was expected and completely useless.

I love the fact that Brother has the toner cartridge and drum unit as two separate assemblies. One of the few companies, if not only, looking after the consumer pocketbook. Best to spend the extra dollars and get an OEM cartridge as this. I bought from them last year but didn't start to use this compatible toner cartridge until the end of 2007 since my original one lasted considerable longer after the printer showed the lights for replacing it.
This one last for a couple of month during which I might only printed a few dozens of pages. Then it stopped work. And ironically, I didn't throw away my original one, which actually was put back into the printer to serve my occasional printing needs.
The compatible toner cartridge I bought here was made from a recycled original one, with some parts obviously worn out...

It's been exactly 2 years (as Amazon.com reminded me) since I last purchased this toner. (I just reordered.) I use reams of paper in my work, hence lots of ink, as well. Never a problem, excellent copy. I recommend this product highly.Digital camera Review: Fits the Brother Intellifax 4100e

I found it works fine for my Brother Intellifax 4100e for those who have the same model and are wondering. Disconnect a piece from the old toner cartridge and connect to the new toner cartridge. Follow the cleaning instructions. Its that simple for easy installation. Have used the new toner cartridge now for a couple of months and it runs just fine. Hope that helps.
