This toner worked well in my Brother toner cartridge. The best part about these is that they are in the correct size to fill the toner cartridge. I have always used the new Brother cartridge rather than rebuilt. I always get the full advertised life out of it and have had no problems after years of use in my Brother MFC 9600 multi function printer/copier/scanner.
If you do a huge volume of printing/copying it might be worth trying a rebuilt/refilled generic cartridge just to see what results you get. Brother makes a cheaper cartridge that looks just like this one, but has a very short life. It's the one they ship in new machines. Stay away from that, it's really just a demo cartridge. Ran out of toner in about a week after I got my machine new.
