Digital camera reviews of C Crane CCRadio-SW (Model CSW-TCF)Digital camera Review: Don't believe the HYPE! Summary: 2 Stars
I live near RENO Nv. in Mts. and have purchased both the CC Plus and the CC SW, nither one works any better than any other portable radio.. So much for the TWIN FERRITE ATENNA. camera Review: Excellent Radio For AM/FM dxing and SW. Summary: 4 Stars
I love my CCRadio CSW. It pulls in TONS of stations with its standard antennas and has rekindled my interest in shortwave! I'm very impressed with its sensitivity on FM, it's overall sound, and the number of stations it receives on shortwave. In a two hour period I logged over twenty-five English shortwave stations. REE in Spain, Radio Romania, China Radio International, Voice of Turkey, Radio Japan, Radio Bulgaria, and the Voice of Russia are just a few. It's also very sensitive on the AM band too and I've enjoyed a few nights of AM Dxing. This is also a very simple radio to operate. A few minutes with the owner's manual will answer a lot of questions. For example, the on/off switch also enables a timer, so the radio will automatically turn itself off after the programmed time passes. This is not a fault, and can be disabled if you want the radio on continuously. I set mine for 60 minutes which works great for me. Overall a great upgrade for the standard clock radio or tabletop radio that a lot of us have.
Digital camera Review: Good Performer/Well Designed Summary: 4 Stars
Purchased the C Crane, C CSW radio about a month ago after reading many positive reviews.
Very happy with AM/FM/SW performance. Good value. Looks great. Solid. Straight forward controls. Good sound quality. Very good sensitivity. I have taken camping and found it has superior battery life. Truly enjoy this product and highly reccommend.

Digital camera Review: Good Radio, DON'T Listen to it by your computer!!! Summary: 3 Stars
I was listening to this radio next to my laptop as first. DON'T DO THAT!
The AM RF noise a laptop or computer generates is enough to kill the reception of the radio. My first review was based on that. Adjusting it... I should know better. My Degree is half RF Engineer. :o/ Stupid is as stupid does. Anyways...
The build quality is not up to CCranes usual standards of like the CCRadio Plus which I own. Knobs are not tight, plastic over all is thinner. Solid AM reception. FM seems normal.
Still trying out the SW. Depends on time of day so much and where you live.
It's a good Radio. :o)
Digital camera Review: Good radio- GREAT value Summary: 4 Stars
Solid and for the most part, well-built. Excellent audio, and "D" cell batteries last forever. Some of the switches (the band switch, in particular) seems a bit flimsy- only time will tell. Only a tad less sensitive when tested on weak-signal AM vs my Grundig-S350 or GE Superradio II. The IF out is a nice touch for experimentation. Why no 5th star? No built in SSB (BTW- I found a $45 SSB adapter from Ebay for this, and the result is some of the best SSB audio that I've EVER heard!), and the navigation issues of getting from one side of the band to another. For the price, a nice radio. SSB would make it great.
