Digital camera reviews of CDP25 Removable Storage Pages for Standard 3-Ring DVD/CD Binders

Digital camera Review: Functional, but be aware of the limitations/specifications.
Summary: 4 Stars

I purchased these sleeves with the obvious intent of storing my CDs (and liner notes) into my own binders. Though the product description specifies that each page will hold 8 CDs (4 front, 4 back), you should remember that if you'd like to store the liner notes, then each page will only hold 4 CDs ... therefore, 25 pages will hold 100 CDs - that's $0.325/CD, if you include shipping charges, and if price is even an issue.

Of the 4 slots on each page, only the outer slots are capable of holding liner notes since the inner slots are "form-fitted" to hold CDs. It is a very tight fit for the liner notes, especially the ones that have several pages.

The slots for the CDs point out towards the outer side of your binder (as opposed to pointing up, down, or towards the binder rings). Thankfully, the CDs are held tightly, otherwise they'd slide right out whenever you tilted your binders.

Since the CDs (and liner notes) are held (very) tightly, I'm concerned with wear-and-tear on the sleeves, CDs, and liner notes as they are removed and re-inserted into each slot. From past experiences, when paper products are pressed tightly against plastic some "image transfer" takes place and becomes permanently attached to the plastic. Thankfully, my purposes are to archive CDs on my shelf and rarely re-visit them ... but this may be a consideration for you.

Digital camera Review: Good idea, but caveat emptor!
Summary: 2 Stars

These do work great for organizing CDs and DVDs, and I do still use them, but I found that the two inside CDs/DVDs can become scratched by a small plastic ridge that runs down the middle of the page. I kept my TV DVDs in these pages for awhile, and discovered that all the discs on the inside of the pages had been scratched along this ridge. A few of my Simpsons discs still won't play certain episodes. So I keep all the discs on the outside slots only, and I've never had another problem with them. I use the inside slots for liner notes/episode lists, though I usually have to trim them to make them fit right.

Digital camera Review: Good quality, hard to find, great value.
Summary: 5 Stars

I love these pages because they let me expand my existing CD storage binder instead of replacing it and refiling everything. CaseLogic makes great cases, and the refill pages mean that you can stretch the case you have further, and not have to shell out for a new binder.

Plus they make it much easier to rearrange and insert CDs. A lot of CD holders don't let you move pages or insert pages, so when you add a CD in the middle, you have to move all the others. OK, so, I'm a freak for keeping my CDs in order, but this makes it practical.

I've bought these pages in the past, but had a lot of trouble finding them recently-- one place even told me they were no longer manufactured. So I'm pretty pleased to see them here.

Digital camera Review: Great for large numbers of CDs/DVDs
Summary: 4 Stars

I have a huge collection of CDs and DVDs with archives of my work. Keeping these pages in binders is a compact way to store them.

The only reason I don't give the product 5 stars is that it's a little hard to get the disks out. I have never torn the page doing this, but I'm always concerned I'll damage either the disk or the page as I wriggle one out.

Digital camera Review: Great quality for the price!
Summary: 5 Stars

We are using these at our office to archive our CDs/DVDs. We were using another brand, but decided to try these since the other brand had a poor design...the CDs/DVDs would slide right out when you turned the pages. We do not have this problem with these; the CDs/DVDs are securely held. These storage pages are great!
