Digital camera Review: Almost like the real thing

I have had my CH PRODUCTS flight yoke for over a year now. It has held up great. I use it for about 5 hours a week. It has really made a nice piece to my collection for simulated flight.Digital camera Review: Alright Starter Yoke

I purchased a CH Yoke as my first flight yoke; I've had many joysticks and throttles before. I was expecting this to be great, I've heard many good things about this products and it is one in a few that are in the price range.
Pros: It's USB and installs easily. It works with almost all Flight Sims (including Microsoft's FSX and X-Plane)
Cons: It seems to be cheaply made, thin plastics. It doesn't mount well to most desks and tables that I have tried it on.
The BIG disadvantage that I cannot stand is in the pitch axis. It's impossible to return it to neutral! This is due to the springs not always placing the yoke back to it centered point.
I do NOT recommend this yoke to any REAL pilots; it will frustrate you to no end. It is however acceptable for simple gamers and children for a first Flight Yoke.
I'm purchasing Saitek's Throttle Quadrants and looking forward to buying Saitek's Flight yoke as well.

After buying the CH Products Rudder Pedals from Amazon which I was intsantly happy with, I felt that I had to get this yoke for my Flight Simulator 2004. I did and overall, I am satisfied.
I would love to have given this product 5 stars but the plastic makes the product look pretty cheap and you don't get the feel that thing is actually worth it price but as stated before, the next good flight sim yoke is at least 200 dollars more in cost. Another issue is the clamps that do not fit your standard desk but inserting a small book between the desk and yoke helps to keep it steady. Also, The trim wheel is a little work to turn but it really is no big deal for me and I still love to use it rather than map trim to another button.
Let me be clear about one thing...this yoke feels good and is very responsive when controlling the planes in FS2004. Overall, I am happy with this yoke and it has taken my FS2004 experience to new heights. Although it is made of cheap looking plastic, I get the feeling that it is built to last.

Wanted this yoke for a long time and am very pleased with it.
Aviation nuts will still want a "stick" for that type aircraft, but this works great for yoke style aircraft.
Would have to nit-pick in order to find anything negative and that might only be that the elevator trim wheel could have been made larger.

The CH Products Flight Sim Yoke USB provides a much more rewarding experience when flying general aviation or commercial airliners in Flight Simulator. When used in combination with the CH Products pedals, it truly is, "As real as it gets".
