Digital camera Review: Unreliable Memory

I purchased two sets (2 X 2GB each) of the CORSAIR XMS3 PC3-12800 1600MHz 240-pin DDR3 CL9 Dual Channel Desktop Memory Kit - TW3X4G1600C9DHX. While these installed easily and seemed to work well at first, within a week I developed a series of catastrophic computer failures, which seemed to point in different directions at first (HDD, corrupt MBR, etc.). I finally broke down and took it to a PC repair specialist, who eventually ($200 later) figured out that one of the Corsair memory modules was bad (would only make consistent contact by physically holding it down into the slot). While the customer support people at Corsair were prompt and friendly in their replies, I couldn't get them to pay for the diagnostic & repair fee. I am RMAing the module directly to them, but I would be cautious about purchasing their modules in the future.Digital camera Review: best deal for price

Simply outstanding, this is the fatest memory for the price that you ll get, althought the memory needs to be overclocked on board to show its true 1600 mhz frequency.

The heat sinks literally fell off during installation.
Corsair is a great company with fine products and the problem I had may be an isolated incident but I will never know because I sent the memory back and got a different brand.
