This is the worst item I had ever use in my life , the first order they sent me it was used and the other one they sent as a replacement not working , once I turn it ON I heard Voices and the smoke was all over the room !!!! I bought this speaker mainly becasue of the price and the ratings given by other people on AMazon.
I must say I am very disappointed in this product. First of all, it makes a static sound just before the song starts. Almost always on the first song. Afterwards, the static may come back randomly. Second, The speakers can not re-produce all the notes of the music. May be that is expected for this price.
I will give it another 1-2 day and if the static keeps coming, I will return this unit. I think this is probably made by some chineese companies who stole the product design from the west and trying to make a quick buck by dumping it at such a low price. It is working as this is top 100 product at Amazon.

This unit sounds surprisingly good -- better than one I have that cost three times as much. It's clear, although of course the bass lacks the depth of high-end stereo equipment. It's also easily portable. I was so pleased I bought more to give to my favorite iPod owners. Only complaint: I had to work a little to get the dock adaptor to snap in fully, ditto the AC connector.Digital camera Review: Betty

These are great to carry in your back pack with your laptop. It is a surprise how big the sound is and how high the quality. I recomend them they are worth the money.
