The USB to Parallel adapter works well with my HP 500 printer. My new computer (HP a6600f -- no parallel port) is running Vista 64-bit. It found the printer driver automatically. I had to go to Control Panel-Printers-Deskjet 500-Properties-ports tab and select USB001 virtual port for USB. Works great.
