I bought a new pc which has connections only for DVI monitors. I wanted to use a KVM switch so I could use my old computer and the new one with only one keyboard, mouse, and monitor shared. I don't have enough deskspace to hold two of everything.
This little adapter allowed me to use the KVM (which supports only SVGA, just like my monitor).
