This product was a decent deal for the price, howeer there is not that great of connection. When I went to install this i found that several of the prongs were bent. I bought one of these from HDE to replace an SVGA cable that was shorter, but working perfectly. When I received it, I noticed that although the photo falsely advertises a cable shielded at both ends, and the description claims "ferrites" (plural) for shielding, the actual cable has a ferrite shield at only one end.
I also noticed the cheap construction - the metal plugs and mounting screws are embedded in warped rubber, so they don't line up correctly. With a lot of jiggling and holding the cable at an angle, I was able to get a picture, but with some of the horizontal rasters corrupted. Without physically holding it in place... no picture at all, even with the screws bolted in.
I contacted the vendor and they graciously offered to send a free replacement... with strong encouragement I should post a 5-star review for their making good on their defective merchandise. Okay. That cable just arrived today... and it too is defective. It delivers the green and red channels, but not the blue channel. And everything on screen is blurred and ghosted horizontally, making text difficult to read.
I'm giving up on this company and their defective merchandise. They've wasted enough of my time and money. I strongly advise you spend a couple more bucks elsewhere, for a product that actually works.
