Digital camera Review: Din not work with Nano 5th generation
Summary: 1 Stars

I connected this between my clock radio and my Nano 5th generation. The Nano continued to use it's internal speaker. Did not recognize a cable was connected.

Digital camera Review: Lifesaver
Summary: 5 Stars

I just bought a new car that has a headphone jack to connect to an ipod. A good thing because the stereo system the car has sounds like a cheap transistor. I decided to take a chance that while the stereo is a lost cause, the speakers might be an acceptable quality and hoped this might save the day. After reading some reviews about the improved sound one gets when using a cable that has a dock connector on one end as opposed to one that connects to the ipod's headphone jack, I took a chance, bought this and plugged one end into my car headphone jack and the other into my 30GB video ipod. Wow! After fiddling with it for a second or two and getting the connection tight by twisting it in the jack, it worked great, producing a crisp clarity with rich, undistorted sound even at the maximum volume level. I am overjoyed. I will note that when I first plugged it into the car's jack there was some weirdness coming out of the speakers- muffled, garbled sound, but tightening the connection to the extent possible solved the problem, and it has not re-occured after having driven with it for a couple hours. Even bumpy terrain and constant forwarding to flip through songs has no impact on the great sound. I also tried it with my 8GB nano- not the video one, and it worked just as well. If anyone is wondering, this device does not simultaneously charge your ipod, and you can quickly drain the battery if you frequently forward through songs. You may want to travel with another device for charging. I can't say enough about this...the cable is not too long, not too short, and it is of a good thickness - definitely not flimsy. Once you plug it in make sure it is tightened well until any possible sounds of static or distortion disappear. If it doesn't work for you, and I can't imagine why it wouldn't, there is the possibilty the cable isn't compatible with your ipod. I noticed an ever better result when I changed the equalizer setting on the ipod from "flat" to "off". My sincere thanks to Cables to Go for sparing me the misery of living with an inferior car stereo system.

Digital camera Review: Returned

Similar to another review, which I figured was just a fluke, it did not work with my iPod Touch 3G in 3 different outlets (2 cars and one stereo). I would be very cautious about making this purchase if you have an ipod and look elsewhere first!

Digital camera Review: Cord to play music through your Wave Sound System
Summary: 4 Stars

I used to use a simple RCA cord to play music to my Wave music player by BOSE, which did work but the sound often felt muffled. I was thinking of the more pricey Ipod attachment which is priced at $99 butI got this cord and it does the job very well. A lot of reviews have complained about the length of the cord but it can either be left in the original factory fold or if you need to increase the length tie it up with the tie provided. The sound quality is an improvement and it helps if you have the songs in the highest bit rate possible. Set it up is simple. What I have noticed about this product that it somehow sucks more power out of the Ipod classic and this is because make sure that you pause the song or the podcast that you were playing not doing so will cause the Ipod to drain all your power. This product is an improvement in sound quality and is priced reasonably.

Digital camera Review: Works great in my KIA Soul
Summary: 5 Stars

I got this cable for Christmas and used it right away in my car. I had been using a connecter that went from the headphone jack to the aux connector and had to have the volume on my iPod turned all the way up. With this cable, I can have the iPod volume all the way down and the sound is perfect from my car radio. It is a great length for the car, not too long and not too short. Totally great cable to use in your car to listen to your iPod.

Edit: I recently purchased a new iPod Nano and can't seem to figure out how to use this with the new iPod. The sound comes through the iPod rather then the car stero when I have it plugged in. I'm wondering if it is a setting on the iPod that needs to be corrected.
