Digital camera reviews of Cables To Go 40320 Velocity HDMI to DVI-D Digital Video Cable (2 Meter/6.5 Feet)Digital camera Review: Perfect for HTPC or any other device with DVI Summary: 5 Stars
Perfect quality. The cable length is 6.5 feet so no insane shielding is needed.
Hooked up my HTPC with my HDTV with this thing and it's beautiful.
Like the other reviews, remember, DVI is only video. So DVI==>HDMI will only give you a video signal.
Digital camera Review: Picture is great - cable is well made Summary: 5 Stars
I use Cables To Go products for my IT projects so I'm familiar with their high quality. Cable was easy to use, plugged in to HDMI input on TV and DVI on PC and picture appeared nice and sharp.
Digital camera Review: Quality cable for the low price! Summary: 5 Stars
I needed a second cable to feed my second LCD monitor using the Windows Dualview feature on my computer. My HP desktop computer has an Nvidia GeForce 8500GT video card capable of dual monitors. Nice feature as I didn't have to buy a second video card. I needed a second monitor for editing photos, creating slide shows and movies, and for viewing multiple charts using different software programs at the same time.
The cable works as advertised and very easy to install. Overall, I'm very happy with the cable plus I saved $15 to $50 dollars instead of buying it at a retail store. Good quality on the color and resolution. No noticeable differences between the two monitors on color, reaction time, or resolution.
Digital camera Review: Quality cables Summary: 5 Stars
After looking at a large selection of cables on Amazon and elsewhere, I decided to avoid the "under $15" cables due to the accompanying legal disclaimer that they weren't up to par:
"Legal Disclaimer
"Beware of thin cheaper aftermarket cables. Generally cables under $14.00 can NOT be made up to current standards due to the current cost of copper increases! These "knock-off" cables will NOT provide full signal strenght from your PC/Projector and rarely support a clear 1080p picture. We suggest purchasing from a seller that distinguishes this difference in their notes field."
So I paid just a little more for 2 sets of these (for 2 new PCs I had just purchased). Some of the cheaper slections received good, yet mixed, ratings. I didn't want to take the risk on the cheaper cables to save a few dollars. Why purchase a nice PC to potentially cheapen your setup with questionable cables at a small price difference? Still, I didn't want to pay top-dollar for more expensive cables that apparently weren't really any better. If you're like me, these cables are good ones to get. I have a nice, crisp display on both PCs (both equipped with new, wide-screen monitors).
You might find another set for a little cheaper with the same quality (since there are so many choices), but these are perfect for the price without the risk of receiving sub-par quality and materials.
Digital camera Review: Reasonably priced DVI cable Summary: 5 Stars
Unlike the chain stores, the price on this item is reasonable. I really don't care what the name of a cable is as long as it serves the purpose. The chain stores will make you think you need one of those $90+ cables, however, these do the job perfectly.Don't be fooled.
