It's an HDMI cable that's 8 feet long. HDMI is the new standard for video and audio connections, capable of giving you both in one cable instead of the mess from cables of yore. WIth Hi Def ignals capable of being transmitted, along with uncompressed audio, HDMI is a simple and easy way to get audio and video into your new HDTV with no hassle. This cable is 8 feet long and is great quality. Contrary to popular belief, with HDMI cables, more is not better when it comes to cost. Beware Monster cable and their $100+ cables. HDMI is digital. It is basically the same whether it's a $10 or $100 cable. This one is well made and not overpriced for a retail cable. There are cheaper ones online,if you know where to look but this isn't too bad for the price and it does what it should.Digital camera Review: Excellent quality. Excellent price.

I thought I should just contribute a review since I take advantage of other reviews to make purchase decisions. That being said, these cables are an exceptional value. I see no reason to buy anything more expensive. You get a pure digital signal, audio AND video. Why on earth would you want to spend $50 or more on the competitor's cables when I can almost guarantee you won't notice a difference!!?? While I will acknowledge the other brand may be using a higher quality material, I must also say that the only reason to use that kind of quality would be for mastering purposes. I work in television post-production, so I like to think I have a good eye for video quality, and I can honestly say these cables are the absolute most bang for your buck if you're setting up a home entertainment system.Digital camera Review: Excellent way to SAVE MONEY

I found this great deal on Amazon for my new Apartment, 40 in Samsung LCD w/ a free blu ray dvd player and a hdmi cable. It was perfect, my new entertainment system is complete!!! I've seen HDMI cables at a local retailer for over $120... I'm sorry, but that is hogwash.
A cable is a cable. Sure, HDMI cables carry a lot of information... but you don't need to pay an arm and a leg for them! Don't fall into the "Monster Cable" mindset, where the design of their cables will magically make your Hi Def signal that much more hi def.
This cable does everything it's supposed to. No faults, no defects, no complaints. Would I use this for some sort of industrial use? No. But if you are looking for a reasonably priced cable that you can plug into your TV and forget about, this is it.
(Note: I first looked at these and they were $5 each, I bought them a few days later and they were $10. Still great deal, but buy them before it goes up again!)
