I bought this kit to use with my Sansa in the car but I was surprised to find that the car adapter will take my Garmin Nuvi USB cable (and I guess anything else that uses 5v and 1A) and charges it as well. Only need one plug. I will see if it charges my iPad. The splitter worked fine on the airplane allowing my friend and I to listen without a problem(Now if we could just agree on what to watch. This is a great kit to carry any of the cables your Sansa will need. I would recommend this kit.
