I rarely write reviews, but in this case I felt compelled to try and prevent an unsuspecting public from being suckered by the marketing campaigns of products like Monster Cable, which is no better than this one but costs five times more.
First let me say this cable works great. It appears to be substantially constructed, and gives a superb picture on my HDTV. There is absolutely no reason to spend any more money than this on an HDMI cable.
People -- wake up! This is DIGITAL technology. The only thing that travels along this cable are 0's and 1's. There's no such thing as a good 0 or a bad 1. If the bits that go in one end come out the other, then no other cable, regardless of price, quality, or overengineered "features" that no one needs, can perform better.
If you really, really, want to spend 75$ on an HDMI cable, here's my suggestion. Send me $50. I'll send you one of these cables. You'll save twenty bucks and get exactly what you wanted, which is an HDMI cable that works perfectly. As for the rest of the money, at least it will go to a good cause (me) instead of lining the pockets of a corporation that plays its customers for fools.

As someone who has worked in the electronics business, I never could understand why anyone would pay $60+ for any digital cable. You are only making a short connection and digital either works or it doesn't.
There isn't any degradation over such short distances.
So do yourself a favor and invest the three bucks + shipping and buy a new DVD player with the savings. In fact, I should be buying these and reselling them at 300% markup outside my local Circuit City.
Buy these cables and brag to your friends how smart you are, (and how gullible they are.)

Recently bought this cable along with a new Onkyo 605 receiver. Thought I was getting a steal after paying $50 for an HDMI cable from Radio Shack (but has performed flawlessly for a year). With this cable, within 2 weeks the picture would intermittently go out with my Samsung LCD HDTV not being able to find a signal. Went back to Radio Shack and bought another HDMI cord and haven't had a problem since. All that to say, sometimes it's better to eat the extra cost for better performance.
