My cable died overnight after 6 months with no warning. There are a few other reports of the same issue. Compared to other cables it's very cheap but you really do get what you pay for. Not much to say on a review for a DVI-D to HDMI cable. It's construction is solid, looks like brass on the tips, probably supposed to be gold, but I highly doubt it for this price, and unless it corrodes, could care less. The cable itself is quite thick (7mm), so it's a bit hard to bend, but that is both good and bad, as it protects the cable more, but makes it harder to work with.
This product is in use with a HP dm1z laptop feeding to an Acer 23" monitor, pretty standard, I would think.
Pros: -Low cost
-Reasonable quality
-Works without flaws (for about a month so far)
Cons: -Stiff cable causes slight stress on the HDMI port if I am not careful
Bottom line: It does it's job at a low cost, what more could you want?
Side note: For those of you that have been told that cable quality matters for HDMI cables, you have been lied to. HDMI, DVI, and even digital sound inputs/outputs are all digital signals. This means that the signal does not degrade with distance or cable quality appreciably. The level of difference you will see and hear between these and name brand cables that Best Buy will try to sell you is completely inappreciable. /rant

I used this cable to connect a new desktop computer to a 42" HD LCD TV. Of course you don't get all the advantages of HDMI (since it is not HDMI on both ends) but it supplied a crystal clear digital picture of my desktop and Blue-ray playback.Digital camera Review: Cheaper doesn't mean poor quality!

I bought this cable because I have an upscaling DVD player and my HDTV only has DVI input. Well, I will just say that the cable does exactly what it's supposed to, the upscaling works great now, and my DVDs look amazing at 720p! Super happy with the product, and super disgusted at the retail stores that try to charge you $50 for the exact same thing!!!
