Digital camera Review: Does not work on my linux machine or mac powerbook OS X

While the device comes with drivers for linux they don't work with version 2.6.28 and according to the forums it does not work with any linux at all. It also comes with an OS X driver, but that did not work with my OS X 10.4.11. Apparently version 1500 is compatible, with linux 10.4.6 or higher, but I'm not sure if that is sold anymore.Digital camera Review: Cables Unlimited 1510 IrDA wireless bridge

I initially had a hard time getting this to work with my Polar RS800, but finally did after holding the watch just 1 cm from the irda device. The software disc that came with the device never did install. Vista (64bit)found the right program and installed it after I clicked on update software. Using it on my desktop not a laptop. The little disc included with the device has only WinXP setup. If you clicked on Vista, nothing happened. I will try to see if I can install it on a Mac to see if I can use Parallels to run the Polar Software. There really is not much out there for Polar IRDA. I did try to pick this up at Fry's store (not online) because I needed it right away but they quit carrying it(and were quite rude by the way in telling me so), thus Amazon is your best bet. Shipping did take a week instead of the usual two days, but overall am happy. Overall, I would recommend this if using it for a Polar watch.Digital camera Review: This did not work for me

I had to return this product because it did not work on my laptop. The support for this product takes 2-3 days to get an answer. The documentation is obviously not written by someone who speaks English. THe software disk is not configured to run on 64-bit Vista.
I was able to use the driver automatically retrieved by WIndows, which turned out to be the same one provided by the vendor. However I got conflicting instructions about using it as an unsigned driver.
Finally, it turns out there is a conflict if you want to use this and your laptop already has an InfraRed device. Mine had a built-in device (which was not specificially ordered, just included). According to what I understand from the vendor, I cannot use this device if I have an InfraRed device already. (FYI, the built-in device does not provide the interface I need for my Palm, so it does not help me!)
So, don't bother trying this if your laptop has an InfraRed device.
