Doesnt come with instructions on how to lace it correctly.
But after twittling with it, i got it on and it works perfect.
Love how its soft, and creates assurance that i dont have to use the neck strap because it is stiff enough as is to hold the cameras weight as my hand is in between the strap and camera.

This product is very helpful while shooting my camera off hand for extended periods. The strap properly adjusted allows easy insertion of my right hand while providing a loose glove fit during shooting. The result is ability to have a relaxed grip on the camera without the chance of dropping the camera. I have one of these installed on each of 3 different Canon cameras. It does require installing an extended battery grip with has the required attachment point or a Pro Camera such as the EOS1 film or digital cameras which are already intended to accept this accessory.Digital camera Review: Canon EOS Hand Grip

I like this hand strap on my EOS30D. Can't keep the neck strap on the camera, but I didn't like the neck strap anyway- always got in the way. I can carry the camera around with the hand strap for an hour or so. And if my hand gets tired, I just put the camera back in the gadget bag and carry that on my shoulder. I have bought four hand straps in the same time because I like to compare them with huge price difference.
1. Opteka Professional Wrist Grip Strap for $8.47
2. Heavy Duty Camera Hand Strap for $8.49
3. Canon 2344A001 E1 Hand Strap for $15.75 + shipping $7.48
4. Nikon NIAH4 AH-4 Hand Grip Strap for $79.95 + shipping $5.75.
After I have tried all of them, I have found that the first two were almost exactly the same. They are comfortable and come with a padding that can work with or without a battery power grip. The number 3 Canon hand strap is also like the Opteka and Heavy Duty ones with two exceptions. One was the brand name and the other one was no padding coming with it. It works fine with my Canon D7 with a power grip. If you are trying to use this hand strap with Canon cameras without the power grip, or if you are using this hand strap with other brands of cameras, you have to buy the padding to connect the hand strap to the bottom of the cameras. The Nikon AH-4 costs almost 10 times as the first two and three times as the Canon one. But its material is better and it has its only name brand. In addition, it has an addition feature that the other three do not have. Your thumb is behind the cover for the first three hand straps. But Nikon one has a cross section that your thumb is between the two sections that gives you more security to handle the camera. So, it is up to you to make your choice and they are all good to have them.
