This trickle charger takes its sweet time but does the job. Its small size makes it easy to carry and
it plugs directly into the AC outlet using a recessed plug. Would have been nice if there was a quick charge
circuit.

I finally purchased the Canon CG-800 Battery Charger, wished that I had bought it a long time ago. It charges the batteries better than if they are charged on the video camera.
Worth the money for the convenience and less wear and tear on your camcorder.

I am a satisfied owner of this charger. It is simple to use, recharges my camcorder batteries in a timely fashion and best of all, it's about the size of a small bar of soap. This is an actual Canon brand charger. It seems to work just fine and the Canon batteries last as expected. I tried buying this elsewhere and ran into "Bait and Switch" etailers. Don't be seduced by these tactics! Stick with Canon products for your Canon camera.
