This is the best price we have found for color ink for our printer. I use it mostly for pictures and the quality is excellent. Highly recommend!
Digital camera Review: Consistent Perfomance from Canon Printer Summary: 5 Stars
Been using a Canon i9100 photo inkjet printer with original Canon BCI-6 cartridges and find I get very consistent and high quality prints.
Digital camera Review: DON'T BUY REFURBISHED Summary: 5 Stars
I've had my canon i-9900 for a number of years now and have been thrilled by its quality and durability. Last time I was buying a set of ink tanks for the printer, I thought I'd give refurbished tanks a try and save a whole pile of money. Not worth it, no matter how appealing 6 tanks for $10 sounds. The first refurbished tank I put in worked fine for about two prints (after making a bit of a mess on the tank carriage when I put it in), then stopped delivering ink into the wick (white cotton swab part of the tank). My printer didn't know there was anything wrong because it still detected ink in the tank (which there was plenty of). I had to put my finger on the top air hole of the tank and squeeze to get any ink into the wick. Upon further cleaning and inspection, I found that a lot of ink had leaked out of the refurbished tank and into my printer, which was leaving streaks on the back of my pages. Several hours of cleaning later, I was back up and running, with the other unopened refurbished tanks in the trash where they belonged, and canon ink in my printer. No trouble since.
Digital camera Review: Disappointed Summary: 4 Stars
The last time I ordered this product I received 2 more cartridges, exact same item number. Of course it was through a different website. Guess I will be going to that site the next time.
Digital camera Review: Do not Buy! Summary: 1 Stars
This is the first time I have ever written a review on an item I purchased. Some purchases were good, some were not so good. None appeared to be an inferior product I believe to be a fake.
The first thing I noticed was the cartridges were not packaged in the original Canon boxes in which they are sold. The picture on the website does not correspond to the loose cartridges I received. They also had different plastic wrappings than the other Canon cartridges I had on hand. I replaced two cartridges at the same time. One, was from my stock on hand and one was the set I purchased from Amazon. The Amazon cartridge leaked ink all over, when the cap was removed. This had never happened with the cartridges I buy at Office Depot. Within a couple days of use, my printer stopped working. I tried cleaning the print head repeatedly but to no avail. When I took all the cartridges out, the only slot that was filled with liquid was the Amazon replacement cartridge. The cartridges sit in front of me now and I have to figure out if there is a way to fix the printhead or whether it has to be replaced. I hate to just replace the machine because I still have a lot of unused cartridges that are not used in the new models.
Again, I question whether these are really authentic new Canon cartridges. If I can figure out how to get the printer working again it seems risky to ever use the other five cartridges. I haven't contacted Amazon, so I have no idea whether they can be returned. In any event, I think it is extremely risky to purchase these cartridges from Amazon. It goes to show you that sometimes trying to save a few bucks costs you in the long run in extra expense, time, and aggravation.
