According to Amazon's "Will this work on your printer" ink cartridge checker, this ink was supposed to work on my Canon Pixma IP4000, but after receiving the ink, the package doesn't have my model printer as being compatible with this ink. I ordered BCI-6M magenta for my Canon Pixma iP 4000. Amazon sent BCI-6PM Photo Magenta instead. It looks identical and fits in the printer but it will not work in this model. After contacting Canon they had me remove the wrong ink tank and install the correct one that works fine. My rating does not mean anything but I think Amazon should refund or send me the correct replacement.Digital camera Review: Best for Canon printers

This ink works great with Canon printer. Unfortunately this is the ONLY ink that works great with a canon printer. Any other ink I tried produce terrible result. So, basically if you own Canon printer you stuck with this ink, which can be a little less expensive. This is one of the cartridges I buy more often for my Canon Pixma ip8500 printer. I have always bought only authentic Canon ink cartridges and not the house brand or had it refilled. The quality of the cartridge has always been tops--no leaking, gets completely used up, and complete coverage on the printed page. Unfortunately it, as all printer cartridges, is expensive. When I am printing photos my ink gets used up at a fast rate. If all 8 cartridges went out at the same time, it would be very expensive. Thank heavens this doesn't happen! The price at Amazon is much better than any of the local stores, so I continue to buy these at Amazon unless it's an emergency. Great product!Digital camera Review: Canon Ink

I agree with the other reviews...you MUST use Canon ink with the i9900 printer. Twice I tried to use other ink and had to replace my print head both times...not worth it!
