Digital camera reviews of Canon BG-E2N Battery Grip for Canon 20D, 30D, 40D & 50D Digital SLR Cameras (Retail Package)

Digital camera Review: Battery Grip
Summary: 5 Stars

This battery grip works as advertised. I use the Opteka battery grips on my Canon Rebel XT and XTI so when I bought my Canon 40D I knew I would need the grip. I went with the Canon brand for this and have not had any problems as of yet. There are those out there that have had problems with this product, but I feel that if you use a little care and take care of your equipment it will work the way it's designed and last a long time.

Digital camera Review: Battery Grip
Summary: 4 Stars

Fits like a glove and hasn't failed me yet. Adds to the look and handling of the camera (Canon 40D). I am happy with the purchase.

Digital camera Review: Battery grip
Summary: 4 Stars

This battery grip works great for portrait work with the vertical shutter button. Battery life and build are great as well. Took one star away because of price. Opteka makes a similiar grip for quite a bit less $.

Digital camera Review: Battery grip for the photo enthusiast
Summary: 5 Stars

I added this grip to my EOS30D. The added balance to the camera cancels out the extra weight. It is very nice for vertical orientation featuring the extra controls placed perfectly for my fingers. With two batteries, the camera can easily last all weekend or longer without worry of running out of power.

Digital camera Review: Cannot live without it.
Summary: 4 Stars

Just bought a new Canon 50d and bought the grip recently. I have had canon grips in the past and they prove to be invaluable. Placing 2 batteries in the grip allow shooting for all day sessions. Battery encourages portrait-style photos. Only downside is that the back focus button is not on the grip when you want to use the custom functions. Highly recommended and adds some heft to the camera..
