After receiving this grip, I've used it quite a bit, only removing it once when I HAD to have the lightest and most portable rig possible. It's an adjustment to get used to re-orienting my hand to take advantage of the grip. The camera is definitely heavier with the grip, but I haven't found that to be a problem. I use my camera for pictures when skiing, fishing and other activities. If you want to improve the hand-to-camera stability there is no better accessory. You will also increase your battery life because the grip holds 2 batteries. This is especially useful when you working the flash.
