With this grip the battery life on my Rebel Xti is so long...in fact most of the time I just charge because I am so nervous after not charging them for so long. Besides the battery life I love having the vertical shutter release button and the added weight and grip to the camera body. Not to mention it does my heart good to know that in a pinch I could run my camera off of AA batteries instead of my lithium ones.
