It's a battery charger. It works as advertised, but what I am happy about is how fast it was delivered. The return message told me it would be 7-10 days, but it got here in three. I needed the charger and extra battery for the weekend and they got here on time. I also ordered a second battery for the same camera and they almost beat each other to my door. I was most concerned to find the same charger that I originally had with my camera, and this seller made the type of charger very clear in the product description. I appreciated that. Definitely worth the money to get the actual Canon charger. I ordered the "universal" charger from another company and it only worked once. The battery would not charge after that. Canon seems to make pretty decent products.
