Digital camera reviews of Canon CLI-8PC Photo Cyan Ink Tank

Digital camera Review: Its Ink...
Summary: 5 Stars

Its ink, it works, what i ordered was what i thought it was, so nothing more to say.

Digital camera Review: Love Canon ink!
Summary: 5 Stars

We've tried substitutes for our Canon printers, but the original is totally the best. Easy to use, good ink coverage, lasts much longer than others.

Great service, ink comes so fast, & free shipping. Great value, instant gratification.

Digital camera Review: Prefer Canon Ink
Summary: 5 Stars

Have been using Canon 8 ink in my Canon Pixma iP520 photo printer for over 3 years. I sell prints from this printer.

I teach digital photography and recommend printer manufacturer's inks to assure quality results. "Compatible ink" means ink cartridge will work in that printer. Quality varies considerably.

Digital camera Review: Recieved the wrong product.
Summary: 1 Stars

I received the wrong color ink and the shipper did not have anymore of the color I ordered. I decided to keep it instead of spending more money returning it. I will use the tank eventually.

Digital camera Review: There is more than one Cyan Ink!
Summary: 5 Stars

I've owned several printers in the past and tried all of the so-called Canon substitutes. As most of us know, they simply do not work as well.

So when I purchased the Canon printer I am currently using, I promised never to use an ink other than Canon. Although they cost much more than the substitutes, the prices on Amazon seem to be the most favorable.

But I did run into a snag. I searched cyan blue on the Amazon site and order a tank. When I went to replace several colors, all went well until I tried to set the Cyan blue in place. Nothing! After several attempts, I suddenly realized that the tank I was attempting to replace was a CLI-8C and I had unkowingly purchased a CLI-8PC - Photo Cyan. I contacted Canon and was told the printer would not accept the Photo Cyan.

Certainly not the end of the world. But I do wish the product listing on Amazon contained some sort of warning about the difference. I then searched for cyan blue on Amazon and finally found it way down in the listing and purchased a tank. However, I would suggest that the search and/or listing be modified in some way to distinguish between the two inks.
