Digital camera Review: 85mm 1.8 lens hood

I shoot in very crowded and compact areas at times using two cameras so protecting any swinging camera lens is important. Since my 85mm 1.8 prime lens didn't come with a hood (I think only L series lenses come with hoods.), I decided to buy one for it more to protect the lens and not really to prevent any flares. This hood actually snaps onto the lens instead of twisting/sliding on. Not exactly a sturdy and firm fit but as long as it does it's job in protecting the lens I'm happy.
I would only recommend this hood if you run around at locations and there's a risk of your lens hitting something by accident. If your using your 85mm prime indoors only, don't even bother.
