Digital camera Review: 'powerful software' WHAT?
Summary: 3 Stars
The camcorder is good, I would rate it at 5 stars. BUT the software just sucks "Corel Application disc The Canon HG10 camcorder is bundled with a powerful software (compared to WHAT???) suite from Corel. WinDVD SE lets you play back your recorded video on your computer (with choppy video on even a decent computer. It doesn't even let you rewind the video!). You can also easily (If you are willing to spend 4 hours waiting for the durn thing to load) perform AVCHD Editing in which you can trim, reorder, and combine scenes, as well as add music, titles, and transitions (seriously, that is IT you can't do anything more than that. and doing each of these this is painfully slow, could cause the program to freeze up and lose all data, and take forever to figure out how to do it). With the Corel Application Disc, you can use DVD Moviewriter SE when finished to burn your edited video onto either a full size AVCHD DVD or Standard Definition DVD (this takes 6 hours to burn 1 disc)."
so apperently we need to buy 3rd party saftware to use the video of a camera we own.
PS. the battery sucks (30 min), so you'll need to buy bigger ones. and a battery charger, the internal one breaks after a while
