I am so glad I purchased this printer. I ordered it late Sunday night and it was on my doorstep Tuesday when I got home from work. (Good job, Amazon!) I set it up myself and I'm not the greatest computer guru who ever lived and I got the WIFI to work - which was a big component in my reasons to buy this one. I looked at the more expensive printers in this series, but I am quite satisfied with the speed and quality of my photographs. They really are very nice! I was able to print photos from my computer or with the memory stick inserted into the printer. I have had not jams or problems and I am having so much fun working on a scrapbook project with this equipment. It's a big improvement over my old HP. The printer I replaced was like 8 years old. So pretty much any printer out there would impress me, but this printer is awesome! Easy set up, prints great quality photos, and I love the fact that I am able to scan now. I bought this with the expectation that it would work like the other older Canon MP Series I had bought. I use it for wireless printing of text and clip art in both color and black and white. It was easy to set up and the wireless feature is great since we have two laptops in the house and switching cables would be a pain. The print quality is good and it prints fast.
The bad; this thing can't print a color photo on any kind of paper. It prints way too much ink (smears all over clothes and hands) and the photo looks terrible. I would not buy this product for photo printing. I have an Olympus Tough 6000 camera and have tried printing from files on the laptop and direct from the camera. Since I didn't buy it for photo printing, I don't really care and it is too much of a hassle to box it back up and send it back to Amazon even though returns are usually easy with Amazon.
Buy it if you want a cheap printer that can do good text and in color or black and white. Don't buy it if you want to print photos.

The Printer is great - I use the web print all the time, what a brilliant idea - I had a brothers before this and will never go back - I did hours and hours of research on printers before I bought this and every one had negitive reviews, so you pretty much have to look past some of them and then make an educated guess - Some reviewers were suggesting the MP-990 and I almost went for it but after I compared it with the MP-560, my decision was clear - I didn't need all the bells and whistles of the MP-990, all I wanted was a very good if not great printer and I think I got that in the MP-560 - For the money and the free shipping you can't go wrong, trust me - Now for the seller - I went through Amazon but since they don't offer free shipping anymore I bought this from one of the other sellers on Amazon (Beach Cameras) another great decision - Unlike Amazon (when they did give you free shipping) this printer was at my door only a few days after I ordered it and I even contacted Beach Cameras with a few concerns prior to buying it, they told me I shouldn't be concerned everything would be alright and they weren't lying everything was just fine - I will buy from Beach Cameras whenever I need electronics - I stay away from the Amazon Store whenever possible (they become bigger rip off artist)
