I've done side-by-side comparisons with the Canon iP6700D which I've had for 3 weeks, and the Canon ip5300 I ordered from Canada, and this is what I've found: I'm keeping the 5300. Its text is laser quality, it's fast, and the photo quality is super! Text prints out a little lighter than with the 6700.
The 6700's text is acceptable in best quality. In standard it's really bad. It's slower than the 5300, but the photo quality is very good. In side-by-side photo comparisons, the 5300 is just a bit sharper. Both are quite good.
So, based on the great text quality, print speed and the sharpness of the photos, I'm a very happy with the 5300!
