Digital camera Review: Too Bad...Otherwise, Very Good

All I have to say is, I really love the printer, other than, the door hinge did indeed break early on. I've tried to glue it, but after 5 different times of fixing it and having it break again, I am now searching to see if a new door is available, and what extra cost I'll have to pay. Still, not sorry I purchased the printer, as the size and operation are perfect for our business needs.Digital camera Review: Top notch portable printer

Two early-release products from Amazon withing the last month. First, I purchased a Panasonic HDC-SD1 relatively low-cost high-definition video recorder which was available from Amazon, and few others. Great instrument (reviewed elsewhere). Then, needed a new portable printer and Amazon was the only place I could find this machine. Amazing -- and especially amazing at the price point.
The quality of color output (up to 8 x 10) is at least the equivalent of my Pixma IP 5000 or the Epson Photo R2400 sitting alongside the Canon. To be more accurate, I couldn't see any relative difference in the printed images until I put the prints under a glass. Of course, speed of the iP90v falls short of the 5000 or the 2400. Color quality and density, as measured, falls within reasonable margin(s).

I really enjoy being able to take a printer when I travel. It takes full size paper and prints in color. It has WIFI and uses Bluetooth as well. It is fast and does as good a job as my larger printers. It goes right in my laptop carrier bag and away we go. I recently bought a internet tablet so I could, if I carries a large handbag get both in there. On occasion I travel as a special investigator. In the past I've relied on hotel business centers to print documents I needed before going back to the office. After doing extensive research on portable printers, and somewhat relying on the Canon name, I purchased the Pixma iP90v. This printer is fast, compact, and lightweight. Not only does it quickly spit out black and white, it's color printing capability is better than many inkjets. Although the price seemed a little high considering the current cost of inkjet printers, it was well worth the investment. The printer was small enough to fit into my rolling computer bag with no problem. It doesn't seem to add much weight to the bag either. Set up and use is a breeze. Print quality is not on the level of a laser printer but it is very good for it's size. The printer ink cartridges are tiny but I guess I shouldn't have been surprised. The printer is also fairly rugged. It has bounced around in my computer bag for the past month with no problems. All things considered, this was a great purchase and it has served very well as a portable printer. I would definitely recommend it.
