This printer is small and produces excellent quality. The infrared is a little finicky. The battery is good for a couple of hours; for the price it should last longer. I was looking for a portable computer to carry with my laptop. Came across this one at Fry's. Although it was refurbished, it was marked down so much .. I decided to take a chance on it. It has been great! I don't know if I'd spend $300 for it ... but if you can find it cheaper ... grab it. You won't be sorry. It seems to go through ink quickly .. but I think that is a common problem with all printers :) There is a warning to let you know you are running low. I've had problems with trying to find ink, though. The big K or W doesn't carry Cannon 15 or 16 .. Some office supply stores do. Haven't done photo's. I sell Arbonne products and I wanted to be able to print out receipts at my parties. I bought this printer to take along. It's fantastic! It fits in my laptop bag with my laptop. I also bought the battery so I don't have to worry about plugging in somewhere.
The print quality is fantastic and I'm very impressed. For the price, it is one of the best printers I have purchased.

I have purchased two of these for work and will purchase more. We have mobile reps that travel around to customer sites with a laptop and printer. These printers have a very small footprint and the cartridges are reasonably priced. It also has a separate B&W cartridge and a Color cartridge. This is big for us since we only need to print in B&W and hence we do not need to purchase expensive color cartridges. To top it off, the price is great. I purchased mine from Adorama through Amazon. They have been a very good vendor.
