I have two SD1000 cameras, one for work and one for my wife. We bought a Canon case that looks identical to this for the first one, and it was great. It is just slightly larger than the camera, is easy to put the camera in and out, and thus protects it well. I keep the lanyard out of the side so that I can wear it around my neck. I ordered this case for my wife and got an identical LOOKING case that is much larger, it still holds and protects the camera but is thicker, wider, and taller than our other case and thus defeats the purpose of having the tiny camera. I suspect they may be making the case larger now since people complained that it was hard to fit camera in and out, but I never had any problems. Perhaps this bigger case can hold a spare battery or memory card wedged against the camera, but that's not what I wanted when I ordered it. I would really like to know where to get the case we have for the first camera.Digital camera Review: Beware!

The product I bought is excellent. However, I did have a bad experience with this purchase. I used my debit card to pay for the item. The next morning the Card Company security called and informed me that unusual activity had taken place. Someone had made unauthorized purchases using my card number. It took a while to get the situation corrected. I had not used the card for several weeks prior to the Amazon.com purchase. I strongly suspect that my card number was stolen during or after this transaction. I had to cancel my debit card and get another with a different number.

I was disappointed with this case. You can not put it over a belt, but rather must put the belt through the loop (which is sewn on, on both ends). It is very stiff and boxy, and not all that attractive. Don't even think about putting extras such as batteries in it (not even a tiny space to squeeze it in).Digital camera Review: Bought a Sd-770is. Works great.

I bought this for a Canon the SD 770is and it fits great. Nice and light, but sturdy. Protects the camera well, with a soft material inside for the LCD screen. It's perfect.
