Digital camera reviews of Canon PSC-85 Deluxe Soft Case for Canon Powershot A650IS and A720IS

Digital camera Review: A Very Nice Canon Case
Summary: 5 Stars

I ordered this case for my new Canon Powershot A650IS, which is a fairly large digital camera. When it arrived, I was surprised and pleased to find this case to be as trim and compact as it is. Also, it is a Canon product and as such, it is a high quality case.

The entire case is made of a heavy, black, ballistic-type fabric, similar to Hartmann high-end luggage. It is well padded and completely lined with a smooth fabric.

There is a large belt loop on the back. Indeed, it is really designed for use hanging from a belt.

The front flap closes securely with a large velcro fastener.

There is a very small storage pouch which is accessed via a zipper on the front of the case. It might be large enough for 2 AA batteries if you have one of the A710 or A720 cameras, which only use 2 batteries and are somewhat smaller cameras. However, if you have an A650, the camera is too big to fit in the case along with any batteries. (And the A650 requires 4 AA batteries, anyway.) Really, the little zippered pouch is most suitable for some extra SD cards.

As long as you understand this case is just big enough to let you have your camera with you wherever you are, you'll be happy. But if you need to have extra batteries or lenses or a tripod or anything else, you'll either want a larger bag or you'll have to carry another bag at the same time.

Digital camera Review: A little expensive for what you get
Summary: 3 Stars

I purchased this case for my Canon A710is. The case appears to be well made and stylish, but I agree with other reviewers that the battery/flash card pocket is much too small. This case is only meant for a camera and two batteries; forget about trying to put in a filter or anything else larger than the batteries. A pair of rechargeable batteries is all that I can fit in it, and then I must space them apart to accomodate the camera lens that is protruding from inside. Fortunately, I have a 2GB card in the camera, so I don't need to carry a spare. I honestly don't see how the A650is would fit in this case, as the camera is slightly larger in depth than the A710is or A720is. And the A650is needs 4 batteries, which would REALLY be a tight fit. You'd need pliers to pull the batteries out!

For the price, you can find a much better case from CaseLogic. It might not look as fancy, but will definitely have more room for accessories. Hope this helps in your buying decision.

Digital camera Review: A nice Camera case with nice material and a great modern look
Summary: 4 Stars

A nice Camera case but it's a little big.
It even has a little pocket on one size.
Nice material and a great modern look.

Digital camera Review: A perfect fit for Canon Powershot 590 IS!
Summary: 5 Stars

I purchased this with my new Canon Powershot 590IS recently, and coincidentally it fits perfectly!

It also has a pouch that can hold up to 4 AA batteries, a couple of SD cards, or just mix and match. In addition it also has a strap in the back to so you can insert your belt with if needed.

The Case itself looks and feels very durable and genuine.

Definitely worth the $10 buy! (:

Digital camera Review: An Excellent Fit for the Canon a720is
Summary: 4 Stars

This case is compact, padded, and durable, and excellent fit for the Canon a720is I got it for. It has a separate, zippered compartment which is just big enough for and extra battery set (2 AA's) and an extra memory chip. I could not need, or ask for more from the case.
