Digital camera reviews of Canon Pixma MX310 Office All-in-One Inkjet Printer (2184B002)Digital camera Review: Inconsistent Summary: 3 StarsI had high expectations after reading previous reviews. The paper feed for the printer/fax jams on a regular basis. The color photo quality is fair. The warm-up time is longer than average. Very noisy. Worked flawlessly with the Mac on set-up. But, the price was right and I probably shouldn't expect it to function as a $300+ printer.
Digital camera Review: Be aware...no recycled cartridge allowed Summary: 2 StarsIt works great for the first 4 months, then it had the In use/memory light on, (this won't let you send or receive faxes) after call customer support I did learn that the problem was because the ink cartridge was "LOW"... not empty, just because the ink was low I couldn't send or receive faxes. So I bought a recycled set of cartridges, and guess what...this printer doesn't allow recycled cartridges. It isn't that great, a disposable printer.
Digital camera Review: Exceptional Summary: 5 StarsI bought this with a HP slimline and HP monitor. I had been using a HP inkjet and a Canon scanner and decided I'd like to combine functions. I'll probably never use the FAX, but I will use the scanner.
Text printout is fine. I printed a photo on 8-1/2 x 11 paper. The printer automatically scaled the photo to size and printed it out. For the work it had to do, it printed out in pretty good order and the result was stunning in my opinion -- no loss of definition and color reproduction seems flawless. The paper tray could be better. I retired and am not doing much printing, so it isn't enough of an issue for me to downgrade to 4 stars. I have a feeling this printer will be going out of production -- my hunch -- but I'm pretty sure it is going to serve reliably. Installing this printer was the most time consuming part of setting up the new computer, monitor, and printer. I've already checked to see if there are updated drivers for it and there aren't, so I believe my money was very well spent.
The prices for technology are great at the moment. My total purchase -- computer, monitor, and printer --was just about 1/2 the price I paid in 2003 for what seemed at the time like state of the art items.
Digital camera Review: Canon Pixma MX310 Office All-In-One Summary: 4 StarsThis is the second MX310 I have bought. It is simple to use and I was looking for a machine which did not load my laptop with extra software the way HP now does. I replaced both my machines this year and wished to get all-in-ones to save space in my two offices. The only drawback is that paper is loaded vertically in the back of the machine rather than in a drawer.
Digital camera Review: 10 months and still like it! Summary: 5 StarsBeen using this printer for 10 months now.
Faxing, Scanning, Copying, Printing, Document Feeder. Been using all of those features.
I'm pretty critical in my expectations of technology and I say this printer is doing a good job.
**Firmware update fixed my issue of the fax picking up in the middle of a voice call.
