Have been using this for over a month now and extremely happy with it. Is more economical with ink than some HPs and has a nice quiet setting.
Would recommend it highly.
My only problem was in putting a single check in for printing and it got stuck inside, and after opening all doors and not seeing it took to service center and in a matter of minutes they had retrieved it for me and did a test print.

This is an excellent printer with outstanding features. I can't believe the great price.
It's quite slow if you're doing high quantity / two-sided copies. Otherwise, it's a hit.

I have had this printer almost a month now and have no complaints so far (yes, the footprint is a little large but it forced me to clean up my desk). I admit to not using all of the facilities available on the printer yet (networking, scanning, double-sided printing, etc) but I will get around to them eventually. Printing, copying and faxing work great. As with any sophisticated all-in-one device, keeping the instruction manual handy is a must until I master all of the functions.Digital camera Review: Canon MX850 a Disappointment

I replaced an Epson CX6600 all in one for Canon's MX850 and thought photograph printing would improve. Photo print quality is worse. I have a MacIntosh and read before I bought the printer that the Fax would not work, so if you have a Mac, you need to know that before you buy. No one at a nearby office supply can get the two-sided printing works and the quick start guide and online manual are not easy to follow.
Black and white text printing is sharp and fairly fast. I've had it for months and just now have to replace an ink cartridge, so it seems the cartridges last longer than Epson.
Scanning is a pain. It was much easier with Epson.
I'm sorry to say I regret buying it.

This printer is very quite. Printing and scanning is much more quieter than HP D145. And I like the ink tank separation. Print quality (picture and font) is clear and color is very vivid. I also like the dual paper tray which I use one tray with photo paper and another one with copy paper. And switching between paper tray can be done easily from the front panel.
The scanning is capable of 48 bit color depth but it requires third party tools like Photoshop.
When printing photo from the memory card, it seems the picture is cut off at the top and bottom of the picture.
