I picked this camera because we have had good luck with the AA powered Canons at work and I needed a camera for when the cell phone camera wasn't enough and film wasn't called for. I used it three times in 11 months. While every environment has some dust and dirt in it, I never used or stored this device anywhere harsh. On the forth attempted use it locked up with the "Lens Error, Restart" problem.
My Canon film SLR from the 70's still works when I used it every couple of years so I can say they used to know how to make cameras well. Now, all I can say is I won't be buying another Canon and I will avoid using them at work. The world is not a clean room and I need gear I can count on.
