Digital camera reviews of Canon PowerShot A720IS 8MP Digital Camera with 6x Optical Image Stabilized ZoomDigital camera Review: A very good camera Summary: 5 Stars
I purchased this camera couple days ago because of the reviews it has on other site, and i can tell you they were'nt lieing. Canon A720is lives up to the its name. I took shots in a pitch black room and am suprise at the quality, along with red eye reduction, shutter adjustments, full manual control of every thing, this is a great buy. It also has DOF which is great if you want to be creative. I actualy killed the batteries the first day i got it so invest in some rechargables. There's video playback at 30fps at good quality and a setting for every moment in you life.
Pros: really darn good camera and its suprisingly small
cons: you don't have one so go get it.
Digital camera Review: A- Summary: 4 Stars
I recently bough this camera as an upgrade for my Canon A620. It is pretty much the same camera, except is has better specs and new features such as the image stabilizer. One of the selling points for me on this camera was the 6x optical zoom, which is a rarity in the point-and-shoot cameras. It is usually 3x. The only features that are present in my older Canon that I wish this one had is the Color Accent/Color Swap feature and I also wish there wasn't such a long delay between shots when using the flash.
Digital camera Review: A720 vs A570 vs SX100 Summary: 5 Stars
After exhaustively comparing the reviews, sample photos, features, costs and side by side comparison the A720 came out on top. It feels much more rugged than the A570, it has an 8 MP sensor, and the 6X optical zoom. It just feels solid when your holding it. While I liked the look and feel of the SX100 the sample photos on dpreview and flickr were not impressive and neither were the reviews. As for the flash delay for my camera it was only 2-3 seconds. People who say it takes 10 seconds are exaggerating unless they have really low batteries. The photos I have taken so far are awesome! I have taken numerous indoor and outdoor shots and the clarity / colors are perfect from edge to edge. Having owned 4 previous point and shoot cameras this is by far the best.
Digital camera Review: Almost perfect Summary: 4 Stars
Canon has been making what I consider to be the best line of digital cameras since Digital Day One. This camera does everything I want it to do, and provides an excellent result. Canon's cameras always seem to have the best and easiest to use menu functions. My only disappointment is that, although this isn't supposed to be water resistant, it is extremely sensitive to moisture on the LCD panel. I keep the camera in a waterproof case while paddling, but just the little bit of moisture I transfer to the camera from my hands results in the failure of the LCD to work until I can dry it out later. I'd buy the $200 housing, but it might not fit my next camera which, according to my experience, I'll be needing in another year or two.
Digital camera Review: Amazing Camera! Summary: 5 Stars
This Canon is awsome. 8mp and 6x optical zoom make differences.
I have also Canon a570is, but this camera is better.
It has an optical stabilizer and works great.
Buy it.
