This camera is amazing! We took it on our honey moon to Jamaica and I must say I am very glad we chose this camera over the others. It is very water proof, completely durable, takes great photos and has an awesome battery life. It is not easy to just stick in your pocket but all of it's work makes up for it. After looking through many reviews, I finally decided on the Canon D10, and I am so happy with it! I took it snorkeling on Maui today and got amazing underwater shots of turtles, coral, fish, etc... I am also pleasantly surprised that the photo quality of the non-underwater shots is fantastic! I thought I would just use this for beach/water activities, but this is the camera for everything! Bought this camera for my sisters 18th birthday and to take on our Caribbean cruise... WORKED PERFECTLY! Underwater shots snorkeling and diving are absolutely amazing!!!! I've had this camera for about a week and am very pleased with the results so far. It's very easy to use and takes great pictures. I love the color adjustments available in the Program mode and I like the useful special scene modes. Colors seem true to life and resolution is excellent. It also starts up within about a second or less. I took one of my best pictures ever on Memorial Day and am looking forward to taking many more in the future. The only thing I really miss on this camera is a function to control the flash output (available on my older PowerShot A620) and a lenscap would have been nice.Digital camera Review: Awesome

This is my fifth Canon camera, and for the fifth time, I am impressed. I took this camera fishing on Memorial Day (2009) and took some nice pictures. I added three of those pictures to the product page.
One was underwater. The underwater picture I took looks murky, but I was fishing in a freshwater pond. No flash - just sunlight. And yes - the camera really is waterproof. I stuck the entire camera under the surface of the water, snapped the picture, and it still works just fine.
I love this camera.
