Digital camera Review: All around good point and shoot

This is one of the best bets in point and shoot cameras when it comes to getting the best quality for a low price. For under $200 this camera is small and portable and takes high quality photos indoors and out. Usually small low priced digital cameras like this one struggle when it comes to low light conditions but the Canon SD1200 IS produces natural unwashed-out flash photos and no blurriness with the flash off with some slight graininess depending on how dark it is. The only thing that I thought could have been better was more options for post processing and scene lighting presets are rather limited. However, if you really don't like messing with the settings too much for quick photos it pulls this off very well. They even throw in something that most digital cameras have phased out by now, a manual view finder. Another benefit would be the provided rechargeable battery pack which keeps you from having to buy new batteries and it lasts a good long time on a single charge. After shopping for a couple months before Christmas 2009, this camera came out on top and it has yet to disappoint.Digital camera Review: Almost as good as the 770

I got a refurb of this to replace my SD770IS, which broke when I dropped it. This was cheaper. I LOVED my 770. The photos on this seem exactly the same. The interface is similar (except digital macro is now under the special settings menu, and when you're deleting photos, you have to press down and then the right arrow, instead of just down). Style-wise, this is cuter. However, the 770 felt better in my hands. I prefer the metal feel. This feels kind of cheap (even though the quality is great) because of the coating, I think. I like the shape on the 770 more (squarer edges) although I can't really fault this camera for being rounded, because you can clearly tell from the photos that it is. Another slight downside is that the the buttons on the back (mainly the arrows) are inset a little more and are a little harder to press. But I'm sure I'll get used to it.
Photo-wise though...I love these cameras!

This is an amazing camera for a novice. The colors are vibrant, the zoom for E-Bay sales, signage, etc. is fabulous. Just purchased this last week and let me tell you: WOW. Easy to use, right out of the box, with your standard buttons and features. The picture quality in the LCD screen is crystal clear, just like what you will see one you put them on your CPU. It has the tilt feature like an iPhone, where the picutre rotates depending on how you hold it. I was very impressed with this camera. I just recently bought it and have already taken hundreds of amazing shots with it.
Before this camera I had had a Nikon Coolpix, but after it took a swim, I needed a replacement. This camera is very small, so it easily slides into my pocket and it's light, so it doesn't weigh down my wrist.
The quality of the pictures was very good. I took pictures that turned out so amazingly. The features and options for the pictures also help bring out the colors in certain landscapes.
I recommend this camera to someone who is looking for a good digital camera. It is portable and fits my needs. It can be used as a goof-around camera
(taking pictures with your friends on an outing or at a party) or a digital camera that takes the quality pics you want. (Just the other day I got some astonishing shots on the beach, using the beach and sunset modes.)
It's awesome and I will NEVER regret buying it! :)
