I have used digital point and shoot cameras from Canon earlier and I have found them to be exactly what they state it to be. I am not a professional photographer and have found Canon Powershot SD1200 IS to be an excellent digital camera for first time and novice photographers. The cool blue color of the camera looks exciting and different from other branded cameras.
The battery life is good especially when you use the camera with the flash turned off. The camera is highly compact and light weight, easy to carry and produces some great pictures.
The shopping experience from amazon as always has been really good. No problems what so ever. The package arrived on time in good packaging condition. I am really satisfied with the overall shopping experience.

I recently purchased this camera and am delighted. I haven't found one flaw yet and doubt that I ever will. The features are awsome, the picture quality superb and ease of use was just what I was looking for. Love, Love, Love this camera! Finally found one with the optional viewfinder! Couldn't find a store that carry a digital camera with the viewfinder. I have an HP digital that I love..but can't see a thing in bright light! So, I went on the hunt for one with a viewfinder. Nice campact camera with lots of features. Easy to use in "auto" mode. Movie feature is very useful (I've got grand daughters). I would have liked a printed user manual. The on-line version is hard to reference when away from computer and there are too many pages to print.
One of the few small "point and shoot" cameras around with a view finder. This is useful when trying to coserve power because the display can be turned off. Software to download from camera to computer works fine.
