I like this camera and purchased this one rather than the newer model SD1300 because it still has the small peak hole for a viewer rather than just the screen. I bought this camera after much research for my older daughter in North Carolina. I send it down so she could take pictures of my grand kids for me on Christmas day. She called and told me that she could only take pictures of them if she did not use the zoom feature. If she tried to zoom in even a little bit the pictures came out horribly fuzzy. It was Christmas day and she could not return it as nothing was open. I have sent down the recipe so she can decide if she wants to get another of the same make/model or go with something else. Maybe we just got a lemon in that particular camera.
