Digital camera Review: "Newer doesn't' always equal better."
Summary: 2 Stars
I was not pleased with this camera. The picture quality was not like the sd1100IS model. I shot over 100 pictures at a family event & less than 15 pictures were salvageable. I previously own the Canon sd1100IS camera which was stolen recently; thus my need for the purchase of a new camera. When I saw that Canon had a newer model of the camera I previously owned, I thought it was going to be another great little camera. I was WRONG. I don't know why Canon had to change this sd1100IS model, because it was already a great little camera. I eventually returned the sd1200IS camera & purchased the sd1100IS model. I am now totally happy with my decision to repurchase the sd1100IS model. There is definitely a different in the picture quality between the two camera. I hope Canon realizes that "Newer doesn't' always equal better." There were a few good things I could say about the SD1200IS model was it's smaller size, bright LCD screen and faster shots. But picture quality is more important, to me, than those slight improvements.
