I've been shopping around for a digital camera for a while, but I've always been put off by the prices. When I saw how cheap some were, I decided to finally shop around seriously. When I came across this camera, It stuck with me. Its solid construction, the big LCD screen, the face detection and Image Stabilization, 10 Mega Pixels, and customizing features at a reasonable price all appealed to me. I'm not a professional photographer, I just wanted a point and shoot camera, and let me tell you that this one goes above and beyond. My only criteria when shopping was that it be a solid camera, nice size LCD display, and 10 or above mega pixels. This one fit the bill perfectly. I actually like the flat Razr like buttons, they work great. So far, I take pictures of everything, and I love using the features like Color Swap, Color Accent, Digital Macro, and any shot you take will come out beautifully. It's also fast aswell. All in all, a great camera for the price. I actually feel its more camera for the price. Nice look and feel to this camera. Great display size. Takes wonderful pics with little effort. IS feature seems better than my Panasonic DMC-FZ7. One minor issue....wheel for adjusting scenes setting takes a fine touch to operate, esp if you have large fingers or a heavy touch. As a user of many of Canon's cameras and camcorders, I have been very satisfied with every one I bought. This is a great camera and Canon continues to improve there lines with each new released camera. I installed a 16 gb card so I can take numerous photos and many movie clips. Anyone looking for a camera like this should have no problem with of Canon SD line of camera, The few nay sayer's in there reviews indicated a lack of understanding or they just like to complain. I highly recommend this camera
