Digital camera reviews of Canon PowerShot SD870IS 8MP Digital Camera with 3.8x Wide Angle Optical Image Stabilized Zoom (Black)Digital camera Review: Excellent Summary: 5 Stars
Excellent! Beautiful pictures----excellent colour, clarity and no fuzzyness when taking pics (which was a problem with both of my other cameras).
Highly recommend.

I bought this camera to replace an old Canon SD250 that was "lost". Great choice. It fits in a pocket, has a gorgeous LCD screen, starts quickly, and has a decent array of features. The image stabilization and facial detection work very well. So far, the battery has been able to last on a weekend trip taking almost 300 shots, but that will decrease. For me, the form factor makes the specialty batteries worth it.

Excellent camera. I love the point and shoot, and easy to fit in the pocket type cameras. I had the SD500 since it first came out about 2.5 yrs ago. Loved it, but the SD870IS is definitely a step forward. I love the Image stabilization. Even my wife can shoot good pictures. Very easy to learn and use.

It is simple to operate and take excellent pictures. The screen without fingure print affected is very cool. Menu is easy to navigate. UBS port cover design is flimsy and could be done better. Overall, it is a good camera

I use the Canon Powershot SD870IS for work and have found it to be excellent and easy to use. The controls are most intuitive and I rarely get an out of focus shot. Changing settings seems particularily easy. A co-worker has the SD800IS which works great as well. I found the large display versus the view finder to be worth it. The best feature is the wide angle lens. If you have even low light conditions, you won't need a flash and yet the pictures (on a computer screen at least) aren't grainy. Battery lasts a long time. Get the canon elph leather camera case. It protects nicely yet keeps the camera compact.
